Welcome to the Bumblebees class page
23rd June 2011
We have had a really active Sports Day.
Well done to all the children for trying your best and behaving so well.
Thank you to all the parents for your cheers and praise.
The children were fabulous.
Here is the picture (as promised) of the Bumblebees looking a bit tired after all those super races.
Well done and thank you from Mrs Shelton

Next week we will be starting our new topic of 'Castles'. We will be learning about castles, knights, kings and queens by reading both traditional and modern stories, starting with Sleeping Beauty. All of our activities will be related to our topic and we hope that our theme will make learning exciting for the children. Once again if your child has anything they would like to bring in which is related to our topic then they are welcome to do so.

A big thank you to all our parents and children for your kind food donations for our Royal Wedding Party. We had a really good time. We hope you enjoy the Royal Wedding festivities at home and look forward to sharing your experiences at school on Tuesday. Good luck to Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

We have been to Sacrewell Farm today and I think I can safely say that a good time was had by all! The weather was fantastic for us and we had a lovely day looking at the animals. The children particularly enjoyed feeding the lambs and the goats - they were much braver than me! Thank you to all of the parents who kindly volunteered their time to come with us, it is very much appreciated. Please take a look at our photos below to see what we got up to at Sacrewell Farm.
1st March 2011
This term our theme is 'Animals' and we will be looking at a different type of animal each week. Please see the Term 4 Overview below for more details. As before, your child is welcome to bring in any animal related books/toys etc. that would be relevant to our topic.
18th February 2011
Fun was had by all at our Pirate Party today! We played party games and had some party food, the afternoon flew by!
21st January 2011
Due to the popularity this week of our Pirate topic, we are going to continue our Pirate theme for the rest of the term. We are very grateful for all the different items that your children have brought in this week, however can we ask that they do not bring in any more Pirate related toys for the rest of the term. We would however like them to continue to bring in any books or things they have made at home related to Pirates. Thank you for all your support.
14th January 2011
Next week our theme will be Pirates and all our activities will be related to this topic. Within this topic we will also be learning about Peter Pan, looking for treasure and treasure maps. If your child has anything they would like to bring in that is relevant to our topic then we would be happy to share it with the class.
